Iraq’s role in the End Times
Zechariah’s Flying Scroll
Chapter 5 Verse 6 The angel tells Zechariah This is a bushel basket (ephah) on a journey. It holds the sin of everyone, everywhere. Verse 7 Then the lid made of lead was removed from the basket and there was a woman sitting in it. Verse 8 The angel said, This is Miss Wicked. He pushed her back down into the basket and clamped the lead lid over her.
Note: Ephah (basket) taken to Shinar: literal Babylon Rebuilt.
Verse 9 I (Zech.) looked up and saw 2 winged women flying. On outstretched stork wings and they air lifted the basket into the sky. Verse 11. They are going east to the land of Shinar (Babylon) to build it a house and it shall be established. When it is finished the basket will be stored there.
Why the war in Iraq is necessary. It fulfills Scripture in that it allows Iraq the freedom to rebuild Babylon and be a major commercial center in the End Times.
Note: An ephah measures commerce and where it was to be established is clear…in the land of Shinar or Babylon (Iraq with Babylon as its new capital) One thing is certain, Babylon will be the center of activities in the east during the last days, in commerce, religion, and politics (war to free Iraq is paving the way) It will be rebuilt and become the capital of the Antichrist. He will come from Syria which will take in Babylon in those days for the Syrian division of the Old Grecian Empire included all the countries of Syria and Irak. The coming of the Antichrist from Syria and Babylon will be in perfect harmonywith ALL Scriptures. We see from Isaiah chps. 13-14; Jer 50-51; Rev. 14:8; 16:17-21; 17:1-18; 18:1-24. That Babylon will play a great part in latter day events, not only as the political capital of the kingdom of the Antichrist but as the headquarters for a religious system called mystery Babylon. It will be a great commercial center of earth (oil riches included) as pictured in Rev. 18. Antichrist will reign from Babylon during his rise to power over the 10 kingdoms of Dan 9:27; 11:40-45; Rev 12:5; 17:12-17, As taught in Isaiah 14. Then, he will leave Babylon to make his capital in Jerusalem the last 3 ½ of Daniel’s 70th week, and will reign there during the 42 months of his power over ALL nations.
